There is high hopes that the recent strike action at Bus Eireann could come to an end today after union chiefs said they are committed to achieving a resolution in the next 24 hours.
The news comes after a weekend of talks at the Workplace Relations Commission ended in a stalemate. However it is believed that both management and union representatives could come to an agreement when talks resume later today.
The recent strike has caused widespread travel disruption comes after a dispute between management and staff over recent staff and pay cuts.
