The Commission for Aviation Regulation will convene soon, in an attempt to deal with the fallout caused by Ryanair’s sudden cancellation of hundreds of flights across Europe.
The airline announced that up to 50 flights would be cancelled every day until the end of October. The move threw the travel plans of thousands into disarray.
The commission now believes that Ryanair is in line for a large amount of payouts, as customers whose flight is cancelled by the airline are entitled to either a re-routing or a full refund.
Hundreds of personal stories from stranded passengers have emerged online, as people vent their anger and frustration at the carrier.
