Convicted child killer John Clifford has been apprehended in Northern Ireland, after spending seven days on the run.
56-year-old Clifford was found guilty of the rape and murder of his eight year old niece, and was jailed in 1989.
Clifford went on the run after being allowed out on day release to attend a hospital appointment from Belfast prison on September 2nd.
Police say Clifford was re-arrested in Newry on Monday evening.
