It doesn’t get much worse than this.
Customs officers in Dublin airport acted like absolute thugs this week when they seized medicinal cannabis from well known Cork mother Vera Twomey.
Vera was doing her best to bring the cannabis back home from Spain to Cork in an effort to help her 6-yr-old daughter Ava’s severe and rare form of epilepsy.
Vera managed to get the THC cannabis medication she had purchased in Barcelona almost home when the customs team sprung into action and stormed the Cork lady.
She was said to be practically interogated by the customs officers for around an hour.
Speaking after the horrific ordeal, Ms Twomey said it was a complete injustice that the cannabis-based medication, THC, was taken by Irish customs and that she will fight on as it’s freely available all over Europe including 11 different countries and also in the US, in Canada, and in Australia.
Vera may well now be prosecuted over the incident. What’s your thoughts on what she went through?
