US network ABC has revealed that 80’s classic Dirty Dancing is set to make a return, this time on the small screen.
The three-hour special will star Abigail Breslin as Baby Houseman, the role originally portrayed by Jennifer Grey. Breslin was nominated for her role in the 2006 hit film Little Miss Sunshine.
The names of other cast members have not yet been revealed. The question of who will star as dance instructor Johnny, played by the late Patrick Swayze is on everyone’s minds.
The writer of the original screenplay, Eleanor Bergstein, is to be part of the remake.
