An upset but proud father has recently spoken of his shock and disgust at the amount of racial abuse his daughter has received after she appeared on last Friday’s Late Late Toy Show.
The little girl Lara Reddy aged 6 from Swords Dublin has been subjected to online racial abuse in the wake of her outstanding performance on the iconic show, in which touched the hearts of many when she reviewed a whole host of toys. However the little girl has since received a number of sickening and disgraceful comments on social media referring to her rendition of ‘My Little Pony’. The youngster has since been the innocent target of number of adults who have said her rendition which included theses words âMy little Pony, so skinny and bony, went to the stable to die on the tableâ, was advocating animal abuse.
However her father Mark has since spoken up about the incident and has talked about the amount of vicious abuse that he and his family received as a result of Laraâs five minutes of fame, an upset Mark told The Irish Independent: âSheâs singing it at home daily, there are many variations. Sorry to see some adults saying âWTFâ sheltered childhoods.â
The proud father Mark expressed his pride at his young daughterâs on-air performance, saying: âHave to be the proudest dad in the world today. Nerve wracking but RTE staff were outstanding and lovely.”
