In a truly disgraceful sentence of justice a high profile University Professor in the UK as been given a 12 month suspended sentence despite the fact that he had over 2,000 indecent images of young children on his computer.
The man at the centre of the rather lenient sentencing Simon Jarvis, a poetry professor in Cambridge University’s English department, was spared a prison term after he pleaded guilty to 12 offences at Cambridge Crown Court.
Mr Jarvis who is now registered on the sex offenders list was given the appalling sentence despite possessing, making and distributing extreme indecent images of children.
Jarvis was sentenced to 12 months in prison, which has been suspended for two years.
