A man in his late 60s tragically died in a house fire in Co. Kilkenny earlier this morning.
The incident happened at a residence in Ballytarsney, Co Kilkenny.
The man was understood to be the only person present inside the premises at the time of the blaze. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the fire has not yet been identified
