Fianna Fáil likely to reject power-sharing offer

Over 40 days on, Ireland remains without a functioning Government, and both major parties are still at loggerheads with each other on the issue.

Fianna Fáil sources have confirmed this morning that Enda Kenny’s power-sharing offer is not a very popular one, and likely to be rejected.

The news come ahead of a Fianna Fáil where this, and some other issues will be discussed.

Fine Gael, in a desperate attempt to remain in power, had tabled the option of a ‘rotaing Taoiseach’, with both Enda Kenny and Micheal Martin taking turns at ruling the country. However, most TDs in both parties agree that this solution would probably never work in the long run.
