France back on track after dogged win over Italy

France have gotten their Six Nations campaign back on track after they beat Italy 34-17 in Marseille this evening.

In a match the French were expected to win they were made work for it over an Italian side who will once again rue simple mistakes.

France who were in need of a victory had Gabrillagues, Bonneagar and Bastareaud along with the boot of Machenaud to thank as they scored three tries that ultimately proved the difference over a ill-disciplined Italian side who managed to get two tries of their own including one penalty try in the first half.

However France ultimately proved to strong as they capitalised on many Italian mistakes to claim a victory ahead of a crunch game against England in a fortnights time.
