Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation following the death of a homeless man in the capital on Tuesday.
It is understood the investigation comes after the man who was sleeping rough was found in a bad condition and seriously unwell near Gonzaga College in Ranelagh.
A Gardai say they were called in to investigate as the man was found by a passer-by at approximately 1:30pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Although the man was quickly taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, he sadly passed away later that evening.
A Garda spokesperson added that a file is being prepared for the Coroners Court.
