Gardaí in Cork have confirmed this afternoon that a man aged in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman the city earlier this year.
The man’s arrest comes as part of the investigation into the death of Nicola Collins, whose body was found in an apartment on Popham’s Road in Farranree, on the northside of Cork city, on 27th March.
Ms Collins who was from Tralee in Co Kerry, had been living in Togher in Cork when Gardaí believe she was murdered.
The man, who was arrested this morning, is being detained at Mayfield Garda Station.
