Gardaí have confirmed that they are currently in liason with Costa Rican authorities following the discovery of 133kgs of cocaine bound for Ireland.
It is understood Gardaí are currently in discussions with Costa Rican authorities after the large seizure worth an estimated €10m was found on board the Polar Chile cargo ship last Tuesday.
According to reports in Costa Rica the large haul of illegal drugs was destined for Ireland after they were seized during a major operation.
It is believed the large quantity of illegal drugs were found in the Moin Port in Limón, Costa Rica.
