German Government faces rebellion over disastrous open borders policy

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is facing a possible destabilization of her government over her disastrous open border policies.

The country’s Interior Minister Horst Seehofer, a conservative from Bavaria, has launched a “Migrant Masterplan” which would end Merkel’s open border, mass migration policy. Under Seehofer’s plan asylum seekers and refugees trying to enter Germany would be turned away if they are already registered in another EU state. Which would effectively mean all refugees would be turned away.

This Tuesday senior members of Merkel’s Christian Democrats Union (CDU) backed Seehofer’s plan and this comes at a time when Merkel is pushing for other EU states to fully adopt her open borders policy and allow mass, unrestricted migration from the Middle East and Africa.

Germany has accepted almost 1.7 million, mostly Muslim, refugees since 2014 and this has had tragic and horrific consequences for the German people. Crime, particularly violent and sexual crime against women and children has seen an unprecedented increase in Germany as well as terrorism and terrorist plots.

Most recently the brutal rape and murder of a 14-year-old child, Susanna Feldman, at the hands of a Muslim migrant has re-invigorated the debate on Merkel’s open borders initiative.

Leftists politicians in the Bundestag would not allow a moments silence to be observed for the murdered child.

Across Germany in recent months there have been mass demonstrations calling for stricter controls on migration and the nationalist AfD party is now the 3rd largest in the Bundestag and enjoys rapidly growing support in the polls.
