The black box recorder from Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter 116 has finally been recovered this evening.
The helicopter that crashed last Monday week has three crew members still missing and its captain, Dara Fitzpatrick has already been laid to rest.
Diving teams recovered the box this afternoon under calmer conditions with a much needed break in the weather.
The instrument will now be sent to the UK for forensic examination.
