It looks like the vast majority of the country will experience sweltering hot weather this weekend with temperatures expected to hit a staggering 27C.
According to Met Eireann the East and the South of the country will experience the best of the weather with sunshine throughout Saturday and Sunday afternoon, they also say temperatures will reach the mid to high 20s with the greater Dublin area expected to reach 27C.
However it will be slightly cooler on Western and Northern coasts with temperatures expected to only hit the low 20s as some cloud cover is expected further north.
The national forecaster say the warm weather will begin on Friday afternoon due to a a high pressure band crossing the country on Friday morning.
