The man who has rocked a piano and sung some of the most famous songs in the modern era, Elton John is said to be announcing his retirement in a press conference on Wednesday.
Elton John has a 27-date upcoming tour and insiders say “that’s that”. The 70-yr-old singer has been at the helm of the music industry for close to 50 years with hits including “I’m still standing”, “Your song”, “This train don’t stop here anymore” and “Song for guy” – a song written about a delivery man who died when Elton was friends with him when he used to writing in a recording studio years ago when he was just starting out.
Nothing is confirmed as of yet, but it’s understood that Elton John’s own “people” have purposely released a leak over his retirement.
