Police in Birmingham are said to be privately content that they have the right man in relation to a horrific rape attack of a 14-yr-old girl who was raped on Tuesday night.
Khurram Rahi, of Rosefield Road in Birmingham, was arrested alongside another man, 34, and will appear at the city’s Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
The 34-year-old, who is also from the Birmingham area, has been released under police investigation as enquiries continue.
After the 14-yr-old girl was raped, she ran for held and flagged down a passing car – the animal driving the car didn’t help her, instead her grabbed the young girl and raped her again!
Police say he is an Asian man, around 5ft 6″ in height and is has large bicep muscles.
DCI Tony Fitzpatrick from British Transport Police, said in a statement: ‘This case has gained national interest and I am pleased we are now in a position to charge a man in connection.
‘However, we still have a suspect outstanding for the offence in the vehicle. I would urge anyone who may have any information regarding this attack to get in touch as soon as possible.’
The man sought over the offence in the vehicle is described as thick set Asian man, approximately 5ft 6inc with large biceps. Please contact the police immediately with any information.
