Irish Water has been forced to issue a ‘Do not drink’ warning to hundreds of residents in Carlow, due to contamination of their water supply.
The notice affects over 600 people connected to the Borris Public Water supply.
The utility says that residents should not use the water for drinking, food preparation, brushing teeth, or ice making.
It is understood that tankers will be available at the Borris National School. Residents are urged to boil the water from the tankers as a precaution.
