A Ryanair flight bound for Ibiza had to be diverted to Paris after a group of at least 20 passengers caused a disturbance on board.
It is understood that at least three people were arrested after the plane landed at Paris Beauvais airport.
It later transpired that the group had been boozing it up at Dublin Airport before departure.
The incident prompted the airline to call for a ban on drink at airport bars before 10am.
