Management at Irish Water have once again caused controversy this week by claiming meters should be a part of new-build homes.
The rather bizarre revelation comes even though the utility is currently suspended for nine months.
Management say that new meters should be installed in order to help identify faults in the system.
The company also say the meters should be continuously installed through out the country, as the average Irish home loses six tonnes of water a day.
