An Irishman is reportedly in serious condition in hospital following an attack at his home in the Spanish Costa del Sol resort of Benalmadena.
According to The Irish Mirror the 37 year old man who has since been taken to the High Resolution Hospital, suffered a number of major injuries during the attack.
The paper states the man who is now living in the resort was attacked at approximately 11pm on Wednesday evening.
It is believed the man suffered a number of injuries including stab wounds and a fractured skull during the horrifying attack at his home.
Although police have yet to arrest anyone in connection with the incident, they have said a investigation is currently ongoing.
