Is somebody out there?: Scientists detect mysterious radio signals from deep space

The world of science and astronomy has sparked a whole new mystery as astronomers in Canada have discovered mysterious radio waves eminating from another galaxy.

In what has become the second remarkable find of its kind astronomers have been left baffled after a teliscope in British Colombia discovered the waves which are thought to be 1.5 billion light years away.

The mysterious waves which are known as FRBs, have apparently been picked up by the teliscope at the CHIME observatory which was only setup last year.

Scientists investigating the discovery say the FRBs are short, bright flashes of radio waves, which are eminating from halfway across the Universe.

They say a total of 60 have been discovered so far and almost 13 were detected almost immediately after the teliscope became operational.

However the latest find has proven to be the most significant as its the second known signal that repeats.

Although no official explanation has been given to explain the signals, many believe that they could be caused by astrophysical phenomenons such as neutron stars or black holes.

However some may argue they could be caused by advanced alien technology.

The latest findings has also given scientists hope as the last repeating FRB was detected in 2007.
