Italians will choose their next government as they go to the polls on Sunday, March 4th. The Eurosceptic and anti-mass migration party the ‘Five Star Movement’ is the favourite to win the largest share of the vote.

31-year-old Five Star Movement leader Luigi di Maio will be Italy’s youngest Prime Minister ever should he manage to form a government in the country’s fracture 945 seat parliament.

Italy has seen a deepening economic crisis and has bore the brunt of the massive flow of migrants streaming across the Mediterranean from war-torn Libya.

The country has also seen increasing societal problems from the mass migration from Africa with violent Nigerian gangs replacing the indigenous mafia as the primary drug pushers in Italy’s urban centres.

A number of recent atrocities committed by migrants including the murder, dismemberment and cannibalizing of an 18-year-old Italian girl by Nigerian criminals and the rape of two-year-old boy by two Pakistani migrants have swelled support for right wing and nationalist parties.
