Justice is served: Man who stabbed intruder to death with garden shears is cleared of murder





In the first case of the new 2011 law that states people can adequately defend themselves in their own home has taken place and seen a 20-yr-old man cleared of murder.

According to RTE News, Martin Keenan pleaded not guilty to murdering 33-yr-old Wesley Mooney in 2016 at his home in Dunsink, Dublin in June 2016.

It’s understood that Mr Keenan and his wife returning to their home where they found Mr Mooney and a woman in their bedroom.

Mr Keenan said that Mr Mooney attacked him as he ran outside and that he grabbed the nearest object which happened to be a garden shears.

RTE News report that today Mr Keenan was cleared of all murder charges and is a free man after being found to have defended himself on his property.
