One man aged in his 50s has been killed and two other men aged in their 20s have been taken to hospital hospital, after a boat they were on sank off the coast of Mayo this afternoon.
According to RTÉ News the man who is believed to be from North Mayo, died after the vessel the Aisling Patrick, sank in the waters 16 nautical miles northwest of Eagle Island.
It is understood the Irish Coast Guard made their way to the scene and rescued three men who were found on a life raft after a partial distress call was made.
The three men rescued men have since been taken to hospital for treatment.
