Police in the North have arrested a man in connection with the stabbing of a 19 year old woman at a property in Newtownards Co Down.
It is understood the arrest comes after the young woman was found with two stab wounds at house just before lunchtime today.
However thankfully the woman did not sustain any life threatening injuries and she was transferred to a nearby hospital were she is currently receiving treatment.
Police say the man who fled the scene was arrested a short time later.
