A man in his 40s sadly lost his life in a workplace accident last night.
The incident happened at the Green Isle Food factory in Naas, Co Kildare. It is understood the man sustained fatal crush injuries when he came in contact with machinery, though the exact circumstances have not been made public.
A statement released by the company read: “The accident which occurred last night has resulted in the tragic loss of one of our colleagues.”
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
