There has been fierce media backlash today, after a number of pictures emerged of a group of men using the body of a dead dolphin as a prop during a party.
It is understood that the bizarre incident took place inside a student apartment complex in Cork city earlier in the week.
Two men reportedly brought a dead dolphin up into an apartment and appeared to ‘dance’ with the body before throwing it out the window. An employee at the complex found the body later on.
It is not known at this time whether the people seen on the strange pictures are students at any of Cork colleges.
Investigations are ongoing.
