According to reports this afternoon and number of firefighters from Dublin Fire Brigade are tackling a large gorse fire near Shankill in South Dublin.
It is understood the large fire is at Rathmichael where the M50 and M11 merge.
The fire has led to the Gardai to issue a statement advising motorists to be extra careful as the smoke is said to be affecting visibility on both motorways.
