Good news on the job front this afternoon, as American eye healthcare company Bausch & Lomb has announced the creation of 50 jobs as part of a €41m investment on its facility on the IDA industrial estate in Waterford.
The new positions will be filled over the next 18 months
The company, founded in 1853, manufactures contact lenses, implants, and other eye care products.
Earlier this year, some 200 employees faced redundancy at the firm, while the remaining staff was forced to take pay cuts.
