Parents warned to be on alert after a young boy was offered money by a suspicious man to get into his car




Gardaí in Limerick have begun an investigation following an attempted abduction of a boy who said he was approached by a suspicious man who tried to lure him into his car by offering him money.

It is understood the incident occurred in The Grange, Raheen, at approximately 5pm yesterday evening.

Meanwhile the Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan District of Limerick, Cllr Daniel Butler, who lives in the estate, issued a tweet about the abduction attempt.

Cllr Butler said: “WARNING: Attempted Child Abduction reported in The Grange, Raheen by a man with curly hair driving a black car yesterday afternoon. They were lured by money to get into the car.”
