Recent soundbites stemming from Fianna Fail’s swinging camp claim that the Garda Commissioner would be fired as a matter of priority, if the party were to be elected into Government.
Ms. O’Sullivan has been embroiled in a series of controversies as of late, tarnishing her own reputation and that of the Force well beyond repair.
That notwithstanding, Ms. O’Sullivan has enjoyed the auspicious support of the Government, which has seen to it that she emerges unscathed from her ongoing ill repute to date.
