U.S President Donald Trump’s former advisor Steve Bannon has issued a statement clarifying his remarks that were attributed to him in anti-Trump author Michael Wolff’s new book “Fire and Fury”.
Bannon clarified he was not referring to Donald Trump Jnr as “treasonous” or “unpatriotic” but was referring to Paul Manafort a political lobbyist and lawyer who was part of the Trump campaign team.
He stated that Manafort should have known better than to have any contact with the Russians stating they are “not friends” of the United States.
He went on to state that his support for President Trump is unwavering and that Trump is fighting everyday for the forgotten men and women of America.
Meanwhile, the White House has dismissed and the Anti-Trump book as a work of poor fiction and Trump has described author Michael Wolff as a “fraud and a phony”.
