Protect your skin: Medical professionals issue warning to the public to take extra precautions ahead of upcoming heatwave

According to the latest weather forecast Ireland is set to experience another good spell of weather with temperatures expected to reach a sizzling 30C in some areas.

However as we all will enjoy the mini heatwave, the chances of experiencing skin related conditions will increase given the harmful rays coming from prolonged spells of sunshine.

Although we are all fully aware of the range of skin care products on the market, medical professionals have issued a warning to the public advising them to extra precautions to protect their skin from potentially harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Experts have moved swiftly to remind people that skin protection during the good weather spell is of upmost importance.

Doctors are advising the public to make sure they use proper sunscreen regularly throughout the course of the day.

They are also advising people to wear protective clothing whilst out in the good weather and to avoid using sunbeds.
