Restrictions have been put in place at University Hospital Galway, due to an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.
The hospital has urged people not to visit the hospital, although they have also said that any people attending the hospital should not bring their children to the hospital and that anyone who has to visit the hospital on an emergency basis must adhere strictly to visiting restrictions and hygiene guidelines.
The hospital are also advising people to visit their GP if they think they may have the bug, rather than go to the hospital.
