The brave firefighters at Dublin Fire Brigade were once on hand to come to the rescue a civilian in need.
The crews from Tallaght were called out on Saturday night to deal with an emergency of a different kind when a pregnant woman went into labour on the Naas Road.
According to the Dublin Fire Brigade’s twitter page the newborn was successfully delivered after she went into labour whilst on route to the Coombe Hospital.
Dublin Fire Brigade say they happily delivered the new bundle of joy the whilst parked on a bridge over the N7.
It is understood both mother and baby are fine and are currently recovering in hospital.
