RSA advises motorists to be extra vigilant this morning as there is black ice in many areas




The Road Safety Authority is advising motorists to be extra vigilant on the roads this morning as there is likely to be black ice in many areas.

The national roads authority is asking drivers to take there time and slow down whilst making their commute to work this morning, they are also advising motorists to double check their vehicles for any damage that might have been caused by recent storms.

A spokesman for the RSA, Brian Farrell, says the the treacherous conditions comes in the wake of heavy rain in the last number of weeks. Mr Farrell said: “Coming on top of all the severe weather we’ve had recently, flooded roads and wet roads, it really does add to the dangers that drivers face out there – and this applies to really all parts of the country – please be mindful of the changing conditions.”
