Sean Gallagher failed for a second time to become President of Ireland.
He secured roughly one third of the vote he received in 2011 dropping behind both Higgins and free speech activist Peter Casey in second.
Gallagher found it hard to convey any message this time as people appeared to find it difficult to understand what precisely he did for the past 7 years.
Speaking on Virgin Media News last night, Gallagher would not rule out running again in 2025 for a possible third attempt at becoming President.
