In a horrific incident that resembles something from a horror film or nightmare, a disabled French teenage girl was attacked by a pack of rats in her apartment near Lille.
The 14-year-old girl, who is paraplegic, was set upon by the rats in her medical bed and was helpless to defend herself.
The girl was rushed to hospital and treated for over 200 wounds all over her body including her face and suffered significant blood loss.
Prosecutors have opened a preliminary investigation and the girl’s father has said he had already launched multiple complaints with his landlord and the local authorities about the piles of rubbish near the apartment complex attracting vermin.
