A Somalian migrant in Italy was arrested last week after he was recorded discussing bombing St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican on Christmas Day.
20-year-old Omar Moshin Ibrahim was arrested last week in Bari and has since been charged with inciting terrorism after an undercover police operation recorded him plotting bomb attacks on Italian churches.
The Islamist was also heard praising the Jihadi who slaughtered five people attending a Christmas market in Strasbourg last week. He was recorded expressing his desire to attack Christianity’s largest church, The Basilica of St. Peter, on Christmas when it was “full of people”.
The man is suspected of being a member of the Islamic State and arrived in Italy with thousands of other migrants in 2016.
