Taoiseach Leo Varadkar says that the Government’s current policy for the homeless is a ‘failure’

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has today openly admitted that the Government’s efforts to tackle homelessness have so far failed.

Recent figures show that homelessness in Ireland has reached an all-time high. Official numbers put the homeless at 9,800, including 4,000 children.

The Taoiseach added that there is no ‘quick-fix solution’ to the problem.
