Taoiseach Enda Kenny is coming under increased pressure from backbenchers who’d rather see him go sooner, rather than later.
It has emerged tonight that Fine Gael backbenchers may table a motion soon after the Christmas recess if Enda Kenny has not clearly laid out his intentions by then.
The Taoiseach has said that while he would not lead the party into the next election, he’d like to stay on for at least three years.
