Tragic: Beautiful twin babies drown in swimming pool on family Christmas holiday

Twin Robbie and Charli Manago have been laid to rest in Sydney after they died in a swimming pool accident just before Christmas.

The toddlers were found unconscious in their backyard pool by their parents on December 20.

The twins parents are said by police to have taken their eyes off the young tots for literally a couple of seconds when the tragedy occurred.

The boy and girl were pulled from the swimming by their mother who tried with a friend to resuscitate her children.

Paramedics arrived at the house in Kellyville, Sydney, Australia, and took the toddlers to a nearby hospital where medics began working around the clock to try and save them.

Both children were put on life support machines but tragically Charli died on St Stephen’s Day and her brother passed away three days later.

A statement read on behalf of the family says:

“Throughout this time, we have received many requests of ways to help and support them.

“The heartbroken parents Robert and Fleur Manago of Kellyville Ridge, have requested no flowers.

“Instead, they have asked for donations to be made to the Family Support Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

“Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support in so many other ways during this time.

“We continue to pray for the Manago family for God to give them the faith to know that Charli and Robbie are always with them and the strength for their life to return to normal, especially Bryan, Antonia, Angelica and Trinity.”
