Gardaí in Co Cavan have confirmed today that elderly woman in her 80’s has sadly died following a car crash last night.
It is understood the woman died instantly when her car hit a ditch near Ballyjamesduff.
The woman was pronounced dead on the scene and her body was removed to Our Lady’s Hospital Navan where a post-mortem examination will take place.
