A woman said to be aged between 20 and 30-yrs-old has tragically died this afternoon in Wolverhampton, UK after a piece of wood said to be 4 foot long got blown off a roof and hit her on the head.
Storm Doris hit Ireland hard last night with winds of up to 110/klm and has left 56,000 homes without power and many trees fell on major roads around the country.
But it appears the first tragedy has occured in England this afternoon with the death of this lady.
Witnesses to the woman’s death said that a piece of roof the size of a coffee table flew off and hit her straight onto the head.
It’s believed the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
