Gardaí in Co Carlow have confirmed that two brothers currently remain in serious condition in hospital after being badly injured in a farm accident this afternoon.
It is understood the two boys were tragically injured when a tractor that was hauling a trailer suddenly overturned and ended up in a river on a farm near Ballon, Co Carlow at around midday today. Gardai say the 14-year-old boy was badly injured and is in critical condition in hospital his younger brother was also seriously hurt.
The Health Safety Authority say they are currently conducting an investigation into the tragic incident.
