The two fatalities of yesterday’s horrific car crash in Bundoran, Co Donegal, have been named locally as Shiva Devine and Conal McAleer.

It is understood the pair both aged in their 20s were killed instantly after the car they were travelling in collided with a wall in Eastend in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to RTE News, Ms Devine originally from Co Donegal was a resident of the Co Fermanagh town of Beleek, whilst Mr McAleer was from the town of Ederney in Co Fermanagh.

Meanwhile Gardai have confirmed that three other people remain in serious condition in hospital following the crash. It is believed that one of the injured, a woman was transferred Beaumont Hospital Dublin, where she remains in critical condition.

Gardai also say a man aged in his 20s has been released without charge after he presented himself at Ballyshannon Garda Station on Sunday.
