Gardaí in Drogheda Co Louth have confirmed that a man and a woman both aged in their 50s have been arrested following the evacuation of a house in the town on Monday night.
It is understood the two individuals were arrested after Gardai seized drugs including amphetamines and cocaine at the house in Marley Court.
The discovery comes after a number of house were evacuated after a suspect device was found at the property.
Gardai say both individuals have been arrested and are currently being detained under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Drogheda Garda Station.”
