Police in the North have arrested two teenagers after a 16 year old girl suffered a number of serious facial injuries during an unprovoked attack on Friday night.
The two arrests come after the young girl who is described as being in serious condition in hospital, was the victim of a brutal attack which occurred at the Pier in Bangor at approximately 8pm on Friday evening.
In footage released on social media a group of teenagers are seen repeatedly kicking and punching the defenceless girl who has since received extensive injuries to the face.
The video also shows a young male pouring a liquid substance on the girl who was left badly beaten following the sickening attack.
In a statement released over the weekend police say two teenagers aged 16 and 17 have been arrested and charged in connection with the brutal assault.
They also say they are currently in the process of searching for a number of other people who were involved in the incident.
